Linux cloud server

Linux cloud server: dedicated power with the distribution you choose

4 to 8 cores and up to 32 GB of memory shared with nobody, with Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or CentOS Stream and root access over SSH. For busy databases, many sites together or services that cannot depend on a neighbour.

The short answer

A SISArgentina Linux cloud server is a hybrid server on Proxmox with dedicated resources —4 to 8 cores and up to 32 GB of RAM—, 240 GB SSD or 1 TB SAS in RAID 10 with a hot-spare disk and a static Argentine IP, in a TIER‑II datacenter in Buenos Aires. You pick the distribution when ordering —the link opens the cart with Ubuntu 24.04— and manage it over SSH as root.

  • Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
  • Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
  • Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
  • Debian 13
  • Debian 12
  • AlmaLinux 10
  • AlmaLinux 9
  • CentOS Stream 10
  • CentOS Stream 9

What you get

Nobody else uses your cores

CPU and memory are assigned to your server. Performance is the same at three in the afternoon as at three in the morning, whatever another customer is doing.

Disks that survive a failure

RAID 10 with a spare disk: if one fails, the spare steps in on its own and the server keeps running while it rebuilds.

For what no longer fits in a VPS

A large database, a container cluster or dozens of sites on the same machine, with plenty of memory for caching.

Your distribution, with root

Ubuntu LTS, Debian, AlmaLinux or CentOS Stream, and from there you build it your way: Docker, a database pool or your own platform.

Linux cloud server plans

These are the usual Cloud Servers plans, and the cart opens with the system already selected. Monthly prices, final price. USD amounts are the official store list; local invoicing is issued in pesos.

How to get started

  1. We size it together

Tell us what you will run and under what load: an SH3 with 8 GB usually covers a medium database, and an SH5 or SH6 with 16 or 32 GB the large ones.

  2. Log in over SSH

With the IP and root password you receive by email:

    Terminal
    ssh root@TU_IP
  3. Update and close ports

Updates first, then a firewall that leaves only SSH and what you publish open. When enabling ufw, answer y.

    Terminal
apt update && apt upgrade -yufw allow OpenSSH && ufw enable

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from a Linux VPS?

A VPS shares its node with other customers, each with guaranteed resources. On a cloud server the CPU and memory belong to your server alone, which is what a database under constant load or a service that cannot have ups and downs needs.

Which distributions can I use?

Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04 and 26.04 LTS, Debian 12 and 13, AlmaLinux 9 and 10, and CentOS Stream 9 and 10. If you need another, the cart lets you name it in the order comments.

Can I add a control panel?

Yes: DirectAdmin or cPanel are ordered as an add-on, on the same invoice as the server.

Do you back up the server?

No: as the terms of service say, backing up a VPS or a server is the customer’s job. RAID protects against a disk failure, not against a deletion or a mistake; if you want, we help you plan the copies.

Is the server managed?

No. VPS plans and cloud servers are delivered unmanaged: we provide the server with a clean operating system, the static IP and root access, and from there on installing, configuring, updating, securing and backing it up are yours. The commands on this page are the ones in the tool’s official documentation, verified on Ubuntu 24.04, and they are enough to get it running; support for the tool itself is its own documentation and community. If you get stuck with something on the server, write to us and we will lend a hand. And if you would rather not deal with it, our software factory builds custom work on this same infrastructure. Shared hosting with a control panel is a different story: that one we do install and maintain.
